FIVE STRING DULCIMER
The pictures above are a Five String Dulcimer with african mahogany back and sides, rosewood fingerboard and spruce top. It has a simple scroll with traditional violin tuners. Machine tuners can be substituted for an additional charge. The price is $500 for the instrument. It was a wonderful sound and features a longer soundbox than usual which enhances the volume.
HEART SOUNDHOLES
This instrument features honduran mahogany back and sides with a wenge fingerboard. The peghead is a guitar style paddle peghead with rosewood overlay. The tuners are geared machine tuners and tune like silk. The edges of the instrument are the violin-style lip edge. This instrument sells for $500
Humming Bird
This dulcimer features the above peghead which is my rendition of a hummingbird. It has hummingbird soundholes and 5-Star Planetary Banjo tuners. It is a breeze to play and has a tremendous bass response which is generated by the padauk back and sides and western red cedar top. These are the same woods used in the construction of my Celtic Dulcimer.
VEGA SPECIAL No. 2 COPY
This little beauty is my rendition of a Vega Special No.2 banjo from the early part of last century. It features a rolled brass tone ring, 5Star Planetary Banjo tuners, rosewood fingerboard and headstock overlay, inlayed mother of pearl star in the headstock and position markers in the fingerboard. It has the modern single rod system in the pot which adds to the tone, stability and durability of the instrument. This instrument sells for $1150 and has an outstanding tone. Great for clawhammer and 3-finger alike.
